【摘要】:ThisStandardspecifiesamethodofliquidflowratemeasurementinclosedconduitsbymeasuringthemassofliquiddeliveredintoaweighingtankinaknowntimeinterval.Itdealsinparticularwiththemeasuringapparatus,procedure,andmethodforcalculatingtheflowrateandtheuncertaintiesassociatedwiththemeasurement.Themethoddescribedmaybeappliedtoanyliquid,providedthatitsvaporpressureissuchthatanyescapeofliquidfromtheweighingtankbyvaporizationisnotsufficienttoeffecttherequiredmeasurementaccuracy.ClosedweighingtanksandtheirapplicationtotheflowmeasurementofliquidsofhighvaporpressurearenotconsideredinthisStandard.ThisStandardconsidersonlythemeasurementtechniquesanddoesnotaddressanypossiblehazardsinvolvedinhandlingtheliquidinvolved.Theoretically,thereisnolimittotheapplicationofthismethod,whichisusedgenerallyinfixedlaboratoryinstallationsonly.However,foreconomicreasons,typicalhydrauliclaboratoriesusingthismethodcanproduceaccurateflowratesof500kg/s(3300lbm/sec)orless.Owingtoitshighpotentialaccuracy,thismethodisoftenusedasaprimarymethodforcalibrationofothermethodsordevicesformassflowratemeasurementorvolumetricflowratemeasurement,providedthatthedensityoftheliquidisknownaccurately.Itmustbeensuredthatthepipelineisrunningfullwithnoairorvaporpocketspresentinthemeasuringsection.
