【摘要】:Thistestmethoddescribesaprocedureformeasuringtheinteriorporevolumeandtheapparentporediameterdistributionofporouspoly(vinylchloride)resins.Themeasurementsaremadebyforcingmercuryunderincreasingpressurethroughagraduatedpenetrometerintotheopenporesoftheresinsamples.Thevolumeofmercuryforcedintotheporesisdefinedfromthechangeofthemercuryvolumeinthepenetrometer;theapparentporediameterdistributioncanbedefinedfromincrementalvolumechangeswithincreasingpressure.Warning-ThisstandardincludestheuseofanOSHA-designatedhazardouschemical(Mercury).Forspecifichazardinformationandguidancerelativetouse,consultthehealthandsafetydocumentsprovidedbythesupplier,forexample,thematerialsafetydatasheet.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1-TherearenoISOstandardscoveringtheprimarysubjectmatterofthistestmethod.
